IIM Raipur secures 8th in Rotman International Trading Competition Extending international relations and students engagement in academic activities, a student team from IIM Raipur participated in the Rotman International Trading Competition 2015, the world’s largest trading competition, held from 19th to 21st February 2015 at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada.
This is the only team from India and South Asia which participated in this prestigious competition this year. The team consisting of four students from Indian Institute of Management Raipur – Ankur Roy, Abhay Kumar Ray, Anshul Sehgal and Sourav Agarwal under the guidance of Prof. M Kannadhasan and Prof. Satyasiba Das had been preparing for this competition for the last few months. They competed with around 50 teams from premier business schools such as Columbia University, MIT Sloan, University of Chicago, Cornell University, Princeton University, Duke university, London School of Economics and others and secured 8th position in Quantitative Outcry event of Rotman International Trading Competition 2015.
Internationalisation is a key strategic aspect of growth agenda of IIM Raipur. In order to give ample international exposure to students, IIM Raipur provides full financial support to its students, to participate in international student exchange program as well as encourages students to participate in such prestigious events. In the current academic year twenty four students of IIM Raipur are continuing a part of their study in different academic institutions in Australia and North America. Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director IIM Raipur, met the participating team and discussed various issues and experience of students in the event.
